Great to see such a tremendous line up and I look forward to coming to some of the events. Sadly the name however is taken - Pighog Press has run Brighton Poetry Festival for many years and has invested a considerable amount in this name and event. I'm sure your organisimng committee will want to change the name to avoid any confusion.

Brighton Poetry Festival is taking place between April 29th and May 4th.

John,

Openned's blog alerts people to other people's events. We are not organising this event I am afraid. If you click on the names on the bottom you will be able to get in contact with the people that are.

POETRY THEFTIVAL!!

To second John Davies' comment - while there have been scads of poetry festivals in Brighton over the last ten years, and to have another only adds to the celebration, it is perfectly true that pighog press runs the Brighton Poetry Festival, and it would be entirely misleading, and possibly detrimental to the goodwill of the local poetry community, should the organisers not change the name of their own event. With that roster of wordsmiths, I am sure they can come up with something compelling.
