Joan Retallack will give an lecture and reading entitled: 'Poetry and the Mirror of Nature'

Admission is free.

  • Dr. Redell Olsen (Royal Holloway, University of London): Noise on: 'The Experimental Feminine'
  • Dr. Allen Fisher (Manchester Metropolitan): 'Aesthetic Swerve'

 

Friday 16th October, 10am - 5.30pm
Symposium on contemporary poetry and poetics: 

  • Dr. Drew Milne, welcome and introductory remarks
  • Prof.Will Rowe (Birkbeck): 'The world occasion: syntax in Witt and Stein'
  • Dr. Zoe Skoulding (Bangor): 'Dislocution and the Experimental Feminine'
  • Alec Finlay: will present and discuss his work as a poet and artist
  • John Hall (Dartington) 'Thirteen Ways of Talking about Performance Writing'
  • Larry Lynch (Dartington) will present and discuss their work
  • Dr. Drew Milne (Cambridge University): 'Reading Procedures and Contemporary Poetics'
  • Poetry readings by Ian Patterson (Cambridge University), Zoe Skoulding (Bangor), and Ian Davidson (Bangor).
